Recreation Needs in Xenia
A message from Brian Forschner, AICP, City Planner, City of Xenia, 937-376-7285:
I’m setting up a special committee for a recreation planning effort here at the City. The plan will be called “Play Xenia.” It will be a citizen-driven effort to identify recreation needs in Xenia and develop partnerships and strategies to meet these needs. The committee will be called the Play Xenia Policy Committee and will consist of City policy makers and key recreation facility partners. Its purpose will be to validate/inform the recreation needs assessment information and to help build strategies and partnerships. I anticipate a total of five meetings between now and the end of the year. A large number of other recreation stakeholders will be involved through surveys, focus groups, online participation and neighborhood workshops.
